About the Role

As a Ward Clerk, you’ll keep the ward running smoothly by managing patient records, supporting staff and maintaining efficient admin processes. You’ll help create an organised, welcoming environment for patients and teams while guiding junior admin staff.

Key duties
• Manage patient records, admissions and discharges
• Maintain accurate bed and ward administration data
• Support staff and multidisciplinary teams with daily tasks
• Liaise with patients, visitors and external contacts
• Guide and advise less experienced administration staff

About You

You’re a reliable and proactive Ward Clerk who thrives in busy healthcare settings. You communicate clearly, manage multiple tasks with care, and support teams to deliver smooth, high-quality ward administration.

• Completion of relevant studies or willingness to undertake training
• Skilled in administrative duties, data entry and Microsoft Office
• Able to prioritise workloads and work independently under pressure
• Strong communicator with excellent customer service focus
• Experienced in healthcare or multidisciplinary team environments
