The Opportunity

The Senior Economics & Policy Officer plays a key role in supporting South Australia’s primary industries, working collaboratively across government and industry to develop strategies, policies and projects that support the state’s economy and jobs.

You will provide high level economic analysis, policy development services and expert advice, applying evidence‑based policymaking principles and harnessing and analysing data and market insights to inform PIRSA‑wide, state and national policies. Your work will contribute to the long‑term sustainability of the primary industries and economic growth in regions across the state.

Special Conditions

  • Successful applicant will be required to satisfactorily complete a National Police Check (NPC) prior to being made an offer of employment.
  • Australian residency or current work permit is required (responsibility of applicant to provide evidence of a current work permit).
  • Ongoing opportunity.
  • Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.

Requirements

  • Possession of a current driver’s license and willingness to drive.
  • Out of hours work and inter / intrastate travel may be required.
  • May be required to participate in emergency response activities as required.
  • You acknowledge your work, health and safety obligations and our expectations.

Remuneration

ASO7 - $112,163 min - $121,246 max per annum, plus superannuation
