About the Opportunity


The primary purpose of the Cyber Security & Risk Adviser is to successfully coordinate elements of the Department’s Cyber Security and Risk Program, primarily in the areas of cyber risk management, cyber security awareness, information classification, governance, compliance, vulnerability management and South Australian Cyber Security Framework (SACSF) compliance.

The position is also required to undertake responsibility for work related to a range of discreet security projects as part of the implementation of the SACSF and the AGD Cyber Security and Risk Strategy.

The Cyber Security & Risk Adviser is also required to provide security advice to business unit initiatives.  

 

About the Business

The Technology Services Business Unit is responsible for helping to meet a wide range of IT needs throughout the department by providing expertise and services in ICT Service Desk and Desktop Support, Infrastructure Management and Technical Support, ICT Contract Management and Procurement, ICT Security and Policy, IT Asset Management, software licensing and compliance, ICT Change Management that assist in meeting the overall AGD objectives.

Special Conditions for Employment

Employment is dependent upon a National Police Certificate clearance that the AGD finds satisfactory. Successful applicants will be provided further information if an interview is requested. Forms are not to be lodged directly with SA Police (SAPOL) under any circumstances and any fees incurred by applicants in doing so will not be recoverable from the AGD.

  • Some out of hours work may be required.
  • Some interstate and intrastate travel may be required.
  • This role requires the applicant to be eligible for attainment of Baseline Clearance. Applications for Baseline Clearance requires the applicant to be an Australian citizen or have existing Australian permanent residency status.
