About the Opportunity The Vulnerable Witness Teams (VWT) are responsible for the prosecution of major indictable offences involving children or persons with a cognitive impairment that affects their ability to communicate with the Court. This can involve vulnerable witnesses as complainants or as a witness. Team members in the VWT have the conduct of both vulnerable witness files and other types of offences prosecuted by the Director of Public Prosecutions. The evidence of vulnerable witnesses is usually pre-recorded in a prescribed interview, and the trials are dealt with as priority matters by the District Court and the trials are expedited. All members of the VWT must attend mandatory well checks every 6 months.

Special Conditions for Employment Employment is dependent upon a National Police Certificate clearance that the AGD finds satisfactory. Successful applicants will be provided further information if an interview is requested. Forms are not to be lodged directly with SA Police (SAPOL) under any circumstances and any fees incurred by applicants in doing so will not be recoverable from the AGD.
