What you’ll do
As a Theatre Orderly, your key responsibilities will include:
Assisting medical and nursing staff with patient positioning, transport, and the preparation and maintenance of theatre equipment
Supporting the setup and operation of essential theatre equipment such as diathermy, lights, and microscopes
Contributing to cleaning, safety checks, and ensuring theatre areas remain sterile
Participating in patient care and assisting with emergency situations as part of the team
Supporting and guiding other staff members, with potential leadership responsibilities as you grow in the role
What we’re looking for
Completion of an AQF Certificate III relevant to the position, or equivalent experience in a health-related field
Proven ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with people from diverse backgrounds
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to follow instructions and maintain confidentiality
Previous experience in a care setting, particularly with aged, frail, or disabled persons
Knowledge of safe working practices and a commitment to customer service principles
