Location:
Umuwa is a quiet, small settlement and the administrative hub of
the APY Lands, surrounded by stunning desert landscapes. Residents

The Vision:
APY TTC is committed to successful transitions from school to
further education, training, and employment for young Anangu,
fostering high-quality VET delivery and strengthening youth
engagement across the region. The Centre supports collaboration
between schools and external partners, hosts training providers and
agencies, and contributes to community development. Thousands of
students have completed vocational courses here, and dozens of RTOs
and employers partner in program delivery.
Financial Incentives:
In addition to your salary, you will receive:
- Approx. $10,000 per annum Country Zone Allowance
- Approx. $10,000 per annum Locality Allowance
- Fully subsidised accommodation, including all utilities
- Paid removal and relocation expenses
Eligibility:
Applicants for this Band B leader position must be qualified
teachers with full registration from the South Australian Teachers
Registration Board (TRB). Recognised teaching qualifications and
all Department for Education employment requirements (WWCC, ETR,
residency, RRHAN-EC, first aid) must be met before
commencement.
Duty of Care:
To ensure employer compliance with duty of care responsibilities
given the unique environment of the APY Lands, a wellness check
will be conducted for any teacher nominated for this position prior
to any offer of employment.
