The Opportunity

TAFE SA is seeking a Project Manager to lead key strategic training delivery projects supporting South Australia’s industrial capability through the development of a skilled and experienced defence industry workforce.

The Project Manager is responsible for providing project management and leadership for the delivery of agreed upon defence project business outcomes within budget and schedule. Achieve project success by overseeing the planning, designing, delivery and closing of the project while monitoring and reporting on project status all under an established governance framework.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven high level leadership skills to effectively manage a multi-faceted, complex and sensitive projects and deal with competing pressures and tight timeframes, manage contracts and identify and assess risks.
  • Proven ability to prioritise and manage a multi-disciplinary project team and related resources, influence and maintain commercial standards of operation, use lateral and creative thinking and exercise sound judgement to make decisions and solve problems.
  • Well-developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to consult and liaise collaboratively with project stakeholders, respond effectively to the requirements of a diverse client base, identify and analyse conflict and successfully negotiate on complex and sensitive issues

What You Need to Know

A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) issued by the South Australian Department of Human Services is required before employment.
