We are currently seeking applications for a Senior Analyst to
join the Revenue and Economics Branch at The Department of Treasury
& Finance.
Remuneration: ASO6 – Salary Range
($102,171 - $108,071 p.a.).
About the opportunity:
Reporting to Manager, Revenue, the Senior Analyst is responsible
for:
- preparing and monitoring forward estimates of taxation
revenue, Commonwealth grants and other revenue.
- managing data collections to assist in quantitative
analysis and research, including state comparative data on
revenue.
- undertaking analysis and developing advice on issues
relating to Commonwealth payments to the state, including
through the process of horizontal fiscal equalisation.
About you
To be successful you will possess:
- Tertiary qualification in economics, finance, commerce, or
another relevant field.
- Experience in undertaking financial/economic analysis.
- Experience in the development of financial and policy
advice to internal and external stakeholders.
- High level knowledge of state taxes and Commonwealth-state
funding arrangements.
- Significant understanding of general economic and
statistical principles.

economic policy and provides advice on economic strategy with
the aim of maximising economic opportunities for South
Australia.
- It also plays a key role in supporting the Treasurer, Under
Treasurer and Deputy Under Treasurer for meetings of Heads of
Treasury and for meetings of the Board of Treasurers and
Council on Federal-Financial Relations. The Branch also
provides the Secretariat for Board of Treasurers.
