The Specialist Geriatric Unit provides care for patients who have behaviours and psychological symptoms of dementia (BPSD).Behaviours and psychological symptoms of dementia (BPSD) vary widely from person to person. Common examples include agitation, aggression, wandering, restlessness, anxiety, depression, and mood swings. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, understanding how to care for patients demonstrating complex behaviours, using a patient centred approach to support a positive quality of life.
