Overview:
The Information Systems Team Leader is responsible for leading the engineering, planning, delivery and implementation of information systems and related programs to the Population Data Registries, including the Pregnancy Outcome Unit data collections and South Australian Cancer Registry (SACR) for strategic and operational reporting. The role provides leadership to a high performing technical team and works collaboratively with stakeholders to understand requirements and delivers technical consultancy to the development of solution recommendations.
The Information Systems Team Leader is also responsible for providing expert consultancy to Preventive Health SA executive, management and staff in relation to information systems and the use of analytical tools and provides expert technical advice to Digital Health SA (DHSA) and external service providers to facilitate the effective engineering, operation and support of the Population Data Registries-related information systems.

Criminal History Screening Requirement
- A 'National Police Certificate' NPC (also known as a 'Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check' NCCHC) for employment involving no contact with vulnerable groups is required for this position (general employment)
Immunisation Risk for this position is Category C (minimal patient contact)
SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
Special Conditions
- Degree in computer science or similar
- Significant experience analysing and implementing reporting requirements of large, complex and dynamic datasets into reporting deliverables including utilising a range of tools and technologies such as Mirth, HL7, Microsoft SQL Suite (SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, T-SQL), Microsoft Office and XML.
- Significant experience in engineering and creating automated Information Systems solutions to complex data and workflow problems and initiating, planning, delivering and evaluating complex systems analysis, design and maintenance, including appropriate change management
