About the role We are a social work team based within Student Support Services; a broader, multi-disciplinary team, consisting of other allied health professionals and experienced educators. Social Work Truancy works closely with representatives from schools, preschools, parents, children, and other professionals, to implement time-limited, evidence-based interventions to support the engagement, learning and wellbeing outcomes to make a difference in the lives of children and young people. The role requires high levels of professionalism, autonomy, and integrity. You will have a strong commitment to social justice, human rights, cultural safety, and to the rights of all people to be treated with dignity and respect. You are committed to advocating and empowering children, young people, and their families. You work independently and as part of a team, have excellent interpersonal skills, and are passionate about supporting children and young people reach their full potential in an educational context. This position receives professional support from the Senior Social Worker.

Qualifications Essential: An appropriate degree or equivalent which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). Desirable: Nil

Remuneration AHP2: $88,255 - $102,240 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (12%)
