Salary – MD2 - $386,457 to $583,645 (Subject to Private Practice Arrangements)

About the role
The Rehabilitation Consultant delivers high-quality paediatric rehabilitation across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings. Uses evidence-based, interdisciplinary care to optimise function and life skills. Supports education, research, and teamwork to achieve strong clinical outcomes.
Key duties of the role
Provide high standard clinical practice through adherence to policies, protocols and procedures.
Actively participate in clinical review programmes to monitor standards of practice and ensure the maintenance of quality outcomes
Provide effective and efficient medical services to inpatients, outpatients and community based patients
Contribute and facilitate the continuing education programmes.
Support and contribute to clinical research initiatives within the specialty area.
Skills and Experience
Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent
Appropriate Specialist Qualifications and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration; or qualifications as defined in the SA Medical Officers Award.
Extensive experience in the provision of multidisciplinary rehabilitation services at a Consultant level
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), including the ability to work with individuals and families for positive health outcomes and to foster productive working relationships both internally and externally
Knowledge of contemporary practice, issues and research in relation to Paediatric Rehabilitation
