We are currently seeking applications for a Senior Analyst to
join Budget and Performance Branch at The Department of Treasury &
Finance.
Remuneration: ASO6 – Salary Range
($102,171 – $108,071 p.a.).
About the opportunity:
The Senior Analyst reports to the Manager, Account Management
and is responsible for providing high level policy and financial
advice and analysis relating to the State Government budget, as
well as providing expert strategic financial advice on Cabinet
submissions and Government initiatives. The role helps build
and maintain strong relationships with key department officers on
complex budgeting issues, while promoting cross-agency engagement
on matters with state-wide financial impact.
About you
To be successful, you will possess:
- Tertiary (University Bachelor’s Degree level)
qualifications in Accountancy, Finance, Economics, Commerce or
other relevant field;
- Possess sound analytical, quantitative and research skills
and proven ability to think creatively and laterally and
exercise initiative as appropriate;
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment;
- Commitment to excellence and continuous improvement and to
the achievement of service delivery standard;
- Possess high level written, verbal communication and
presentation skills, with an emphasis on clarity, accuracy and
attention to detail;
- Ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders,
negotiate outcomes and positively influence stakeholder
relationships.

financial issues, and Commonwealth-State relations, and we
monitor the financial performance of government agencies.
- We assist the Government of South Australia to achieve
public sector performance improvement, improve budget and
financial management processes and provide quality advice to
the government designed to strengthen state finances.
