About the role

Student Support Services works with schools and preschools to provide support to assist them in meeting the needs of all children. The role requires the incumbent to positively lead and participate in the ongoing development and review of a service model that supports the provision of integrated, proactive and targeted services to sites to assist them in meeting the needs of children and young people with additional needs.

The Senior Educator role provides strategic leadership to Inclusive and Behaviour Support Educators through supervision and support, requiring a high level of understanding of relevant processes, procedures within the education system, chief among them Specialised Education Pathways. The complexity of the role is shaped by the local context.

Given the Elizabeth South context, the successful applicant will demonstrate well-developed, proven and transferable leadership capability, with the capacity to quickly understand the context, establish effective relationships and make an immediate impact. This is an experienced leadership role and is not intended as an entry point into leadership.

The ability to work effectively within an established team and office context will be critical to success 

 

Qualifications

Essential: Current full teacher registration

Desirable: Nil



Special conditions

The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.

The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration

STL3 $152,287 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (12%)

Additional note
